Charming 1909 advertising postcard for Swift’s Pride Soap and Washing Powder (Swift & Company), showing a little girl with a huge fan whose shadow makes a peacock silhouette by candlelight! Captioned “Proud and haughty Bess you see/By the parlor wall,/With her fan she seems to be/A peacock at a ball.” Nicely detailed, and a desirable advertising collectible in very good condition!
