I signed up earlier in the week and like what I am seeing. I am about to go off on holiday, but after that I will start using the site, both as a buyer and a seller - my line is obvious from my username.

Couple of questions though:

As far as payment methods is concerned, I've noticed that Moneybookers is the only integrated system, but Paypal can be offered as an option. There is no mention of Google checkout - am I allowed to mention in my note that I offer Google checkout as an extra option or would I breach DC policies?

The second one is related to paying commision - did I read correctly that you don't pay fees until you owe £5 or are you supposed to top up your Ewallet so that any amount can be taken out on a monthly basis?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi and welcome !

You can mention and take Paypal, Google, cash, cheques etc no problem and you are correct, Moneybookers is the only integrated payment on this site and I just wish paypal was integrated also as I am sure it would generate more sales

Moneybooker is excellent though and well worth signing up

When it comes to your fees you are again correct that you don't need to pay until you are over £5....when I am running close I just pay £10 and it keeps me in front....you again can use moneybookers to pay yor fees and Paypal....I am sure paypal IS integrated for paying your fees ??

Also look at becoming a member, I think it would cost around £50....well worth it, but just see how you get on before you decide

It WILL take time, and I won't make any qualms about it, it don't get as much traffic as the 'other' site but it is building up.....use the 2 sites to list and any buyers you get from the dark side just point them to here in an email and a note in the goods you send out

Good luck !

ps...lot more friendlier on this site....watch out for cajuns jokes though :gna:

Thanks Karen.

I am fully aware of the fact, that this (or any other) site will be slower in generating sales then "that main auction site", but listings are free here and therefore it doesn't really matter if items don't get sold in the first week. Happy to list and let time take it's course - just want to make sure I don't break any DC rules.
I list on another small auction site and have become used to the slower sales, but with all the changes feepay are making I think that some of the smaller less known sites will become busier very soon.
