Notes:

- Is an item listed 5 years ago OLD?
- Certainly not, for all the 10.000´s NEW members/each year !

The solution is not to throwe away "old listed items" !
The solution is to put the items in order !

With no more specialized categories neither exclusive material
will be attracted to Delcampe. It will be sold elsewhere as usually.

Will we be stucked with a lot of cheap and nicely priced items and
get bored when we can´t even find them in a growing haystack?

More CHEAP & EXCLUSIVE items at more specialized categories
for the interest of all.

Almost like a Royal Library but for Stamps & Collectibles.
Even better - at a Library you can´t Buy & Sell
(but they (the library) have thousands of items in good order.)

1.) Clean up all Prefilately groups (they do not contain prefilately)      
2.) Keep the groups but ad a text like:      
"To list your items at this group you have to apply to prefilately@delcampe.com bla bla bla bla….      
(and perhaps we will see the real classic material at Delcampe 20007/8
      
As mentioned earlier about colinies.      
1.) Only DEAD colonies under the country of patronage      
2.) Colonies-Alive or Independent countries at resp. continent      
      
(Or we can move Australia to GB/Colonies/Australia and Finland/Ĺland      
and China/Hong Kong which is no good idea).      

As you can see there are many "FIXED" above.
If they got fixed due to the Lobby List or by Delcampe´s own initiative,
or whatever, doesn´t really matter. What matters is that you can participate in the Independent Lobby List by suggesting more categories here or directly to the Delcampe Team and things are HAPPENING.

EL Gringo & Co are waiting with enthusiasm for more new categories at Delcampe 2007, so far so good....

I also think that would be a good improvement to to divide the new reborn countries (Croatia; Slovakia; Latvia ...) in two categories.

Exemple:

Slovakia 1939-1945
Slovakia 1993-...



Other great problem is that sellers don't reorganize the old listings into the new sub-categories created.



And a final note to the items listed under "Czech Republic" and "Czechoslovakia" sellers realy need to take a look at the listings and put the stamps into the right place.

Yes, I can only agree that it would be great if Delcampe could
publish regulary all the new categories so we ALL could put the items
in the right place from the first day we knows about it. A Newsletter
each month?

Then regulary.
1.) Check our own items and make any eventual changes.

2.) There´s also a report function for each item "report this item"
and the seller will be noticed about it for to take action (or not taking action, if disagree)

3.) Delcampe to enroll more "agents" for sorting. These "agents" have the permit to change items from one category to another category but you will always be notified.

Why not to start with our own part first?

Personally I did number 1.) for my European items yesterday and found a lot under categories "Others" I had to change . I would be happy, I welllcome, mails from "Report this item" if something is still misplaced.

For number 2.): I can´t find time for to report others items, but I hope others will.

For number 3.): I´m missing the mails from the "agents" I got before, some were right and some were wrong but together resulted in a better listing.

I think everyone who gets a mail from a fellow Delcamper or by the "agents" should not be upset because you always have the possibility
to list it wherever you want anyway. The responsibility is all ours and Delcampe kicks you out if you´re naughty or for missuse.

I can see an ambition for a high degree of professionalism among the
Delcampe Team which is to be supported.

wen you say the "agents", are they in the matrix type of agents or are they more like MIB type.

ps: I agree that more categories and subcategories are essential. and better control if you go to "other" on great britain you find 100's of listenings that do alredy have a category and shouldnt be there

Hi guys,

I ment "Administrators" when I wrote "Agents" and they are already there, and appointed by Delcampe, sorting a little here and there but there´s a need of more Administrators if we shall get better order in the listings- not only more categories. Ask any librarian what occupies
most of their time. Yes sorting sorting and sorting - a never ending work. Thefore you can find the books easy, at most libraries, around the world. They keep it as an honour for the service of others.

there's no need to ask a librarian ask any serius collector and you see what take most of our time sorting ,sorting, sorting... and then wen you think is all done we decide to resort everything because we find a better way! a never ending job!
