Sellers, it is very helpful to potential buyers if you mention year- of- issue in your item's description. It bridges catalog number differences.

are we referring to stamps, coins, tomatoes, or what? i am a philatelist, so if stamps are sold, your suggestion is very good. and i do usually make note of that in my descriptions. i agree with you, many of the sellers on delcampe are sorely lacking on their descriptions. the reason is they probably use the bulk lister and sell thousands of items. i list my items one at a time. but then i am not a stamp dealer, just a philatelist selling his duplicates from his world collection to help augment his hobby. also, good pictures are worth a thousand words.
